What is the Spouses' Club?

Who we are:
The Mountain Home Spouses' Club (MHSC) is a non-profit organization comprised of active duty and retired Air Force spouses stationed in the high desert plains of Mountain Home, Idaho. We are both a 501c non-profit organization and a social club to create a community and family for our constantly transitioning and moving military spouses and families.

We are dedicated to supporting the families and organizations of Mountain Home Air force Base (MHAFB) as well as the surrounding communities. Our organization operates two-fold as we are both a social club with deep roots in creating community and friendship; as well as a thriving non-profit, donating tens of thousands of dollars to create positive change in our community. As we gather together socially, we also discuss volunteer opportunities, fundraise, and vote as a whole club where to give away our hard-earned funds. We are pleased to provide our members with wonderful opportunities to expand both their social interactions with other spouses, as well as the opportunity to be a part of our dedication in creating blessing and positive change to our beloved military community.

Membership:
Membership is open to all spouses of service members permanently assigned or attached to Mountain Home AFB. With membership to the MHSC, we provide monthly social meetups to foster the relationships between spouses as well as keeping our members involved in our philanthropic endeavors and volunteer opportunities. We have several annual events that the MHSC hosts that raise thousands of dollars for college scholarships, breast cancer research, and aid to our military community.   We are pleased to offer a new and improved membership registration process. Please click here to be directed to our membership page where you will fill out a short registration form to become an official member.  The MHSC is currently dues free!

Fundraising:
Our various fundraising which enables us in making numerous donations to charitable causes, in both the military and civilian sector are:
  • In March 2024, the OSC Annual Charitable Auction raised over $17,171.87, which was all given away to scholarship recipients!
  • In October 2025, the Bunco Benefit for Breast Cancer raised over $4,200 for St. Luke's Foundation of Elmore County in Mountain Home!
  • Throughout the year, our Thrift Shop typically earns around $25,000 that is donated back to our community in the way of grants.
  • In 2024-2025 the MHSC in total gave away $40,813.97!
