To my Mountain Home OSC Family,
It hardly seems possible that my time here in Idaho has come to an end. In April, my husband begins a one-year remote at Camp Red Cloud, South Korea. We are taking the opportunity to spend his TDY at Nellis AFB as a family before he has to go. Mallory and I will shack up with my parents for the year, and pray to join him if at all possible. And so, our Air Force Adventure continues!
With February being my last function, I am truly looking forward to celebrating all the work that our Thrift Shop does for the base and local community. You all ROCK it out each and every month, and I appreciate all the work that the 366th Medical Group Spouses are doing to put this event on.
The Thrift Shop holds a special place in my heart. I first became involved with the OSC as a 2nd Lieutenant’s wife, by becoming a regular consigner and volunteer at the Laughlin AFB Thrift Shop in Del Rio, Texas. I learned about the mission of the OSC, and joined for the first time. Since then, the Officers’ Spouses’ Club has been a constant thread on my Air Force journey, and here at MHAFB I will tie yet another knot to hold your place in my heart.
Erica Richards will assume the role of President as I depart; you all are in EXCELLENT hands! She has been my right hand this year, and behind every leadership decision I have made. I want to thank her for her friendship, leadership and commitment to the MHOSC. You will accomplish great things with her at the helm!
It has been a true joy to work with so many caring, enthusiastic and willing volunteers as President of the OSC. I look forward to the opportunity to work with many of you again.
